Internal changesIn order to support the new features in this version, and to allow for future improvements, the code that translates GMapEZ HTML into Google map directives was significantly reorganized. Therefore it's possible that some maps may not act the same with this version as they did with previous versions. If this happens it's a bug: please report it. I have tested all the cases I can think of, but I can't test everything. Report any problems you have and I'll try to address them promptly so that everyone can start using the new features of this version. Special thanks to www.Orlando-Maps.info for sponsering most of the features in this release. GMapEZ version 2.1Released Thu, 25 May 2006http://n01se.net/gmapez/gmapez-2.1.jsAPI changesNo API changes in this release. Internal changesThe main processing done by GMapEZ used to be done all at once, causing most browsers to essentially freeze up while all the maps on a page were loaded. This could last anywhere from a second to 30 seconds or more, depending on the number of markers and the speed of the computer browsing the page. This process has now been split up into a series of timer handlers, so the browser can respond to user actions, update the display, etc. As an added bonus, a progress bar is now displayed to help users from becoming too bored or anxious while waiting for a large number of markers to load. Also use "non-clickable" markers when possible, which Google claims will speed up loading. Update: The progress bar and logo do not display properly in this version.
